Overview

The Logan Lake Firefighters Association, in collaboration with the Volunteer Firefighters Association of BC, and the District of Logan Lake, are hosting "Fire on the Lake", the Logan Lake Spring Seminar. Join us for a weekend of insightful sessions, networking, and valuable hands on training in Logan Lake, British Columbia on May 1-3, 2026. All Spring Session activities will take place in and around the Logan Lake Recreation Centre, 31 Chartrand Ave, Logan Lake, BC.

This intensive training event is designed to sharpen skills, build confidence, and provide practical experience through realistic scenario-based instruction led by experienced instructors.

 

Hands-on Training Sessions Include:

Participants can expect hands-on exposure to the following training sessions: Live-Fire Scenarios, Interior Search Techniques, Forcible Entry, Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) Events, Vehicle Fires, Rope Rescue, Auto Extrication, Wildland Fire Training, Hazardous Materials response, and much more!

Whether you’re looking to refresh core skills or gain experience in advanced scenarios, the Logan Lake Spring Seminar offers valuable training applicable to real-world incidents. Be prepared to fill your 'toolkit' all weekend long with firefighters from across BC and beyond.

 
Ticket Purchase Options:
  • Spring Seminar Participant ticket includes: hands-on training sessions, Saturday banquet and after party, meals as described in "Meals Only" ticket, t-shirt, and swag bag courtesy of FortisBC.

  • Spouse Package - Saturday, May 2 ticket includes: breakfast with mimosas, a guided morning craft session, lunch with drink ticket, afternoon guided relaxation session, and Saturday banquet and after party.

  • Meals Only ticket includes: $10 off token for Friday evening Food Truck Festival, Saturday lunch, Saturday banquet and after party, Sunday breakfast, and Sunday lunch. Sunday breakfast is by donation to Honour House.

  • Banquet Only - Saturday, May 2 ticket includes: Saturday banquet and after party.

  • Additional t-shirt ticket includes: only one Logan Lake Spring Seminar t-shirt in the size selected.

 
Brief Schedule for the Weekend

Friday, May 1, 2026: 4:00pm -8:00pm

Registration package pick-up, merch, vendor/trade show and food truck festival at the Logan Lake Recreation Centre, 31 Chartrand Ave.

 

Saturday, May 2, 2026: 7:00am- 11:00pm

Breakfast-on-the-go by donation to Honour House Society, prepared by the Logan Lake Lions Club.

Training Sessions, breaks, with extended lunch break for the vendor/trade show.

 

Evening Celebrations: ticketed banquet Valhalla Smokehouse dinner, awards, and an After Party featuring Thrash Wrestling match, bar service, and music to dance the night away. Bus transportation provided from accommodations in Logan Lake, Lac le Jeune Resort, and the Coast Kamloops Hotel to the banquet and after party, then back to accommodations in Logan Lake, Lac le Jeune Resort, and the Coast Kamloops Hotel.

 

Sunday, May 3, 2026: 7:00am - 12:15pm

Breakfast, final training sessions, break, and farewell lunch to-go.

 

Sunday, May 3, 2026: 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Optional open house at Honour Ranch, located 47 kms west of Logan Lake towards Ashcroft, BC on Kirkland Ranch Road South.

 
Meals

Meals include $10 off token for Friday evening Food Truck Festival, Saturday lunch, Saturday banquet and after party, Sunday breakfast, and Sunday lunch. Sunday breakfast is by donation to Honour House.

 

Saturday breakfast is a fundraiser for the Honour House Society. Please be prepared to bring a cash donation to support this incredible resource for First Responders, Canadian Forces personnel, and their families.

Snacks during breaks are not provided by Spring Seminar.

 
Accommodations

Accommodations within Logan Lake are limited. We have a list of partnering accommodations here: https://www.loganlakespringseminar.ca/accomodations

Spring Seminar participants are responsible for booking their own accommodations.

For participants staying within Logan Lake, at the Lac Le Jeune Resort, and at or around the Coast Hotel Kamloops, we will be providing a safe ride to and from the banquet via Traxx Coachlines. Sign up in the Seminar registration process.

*Personal Protective Equipment*

Spring Seminar participants must arrive with full structural turnout gear to participate in sessions (Structural firefighting helmet, balaclava, jacket, SCBA mask, SCBA, pants, boots, and gloves). Fill stations will be available to refill SCBA cylinders. Please mark your SCBA cylinders with your department or organization's name. Structural turnout gear must be in good condition in order for participants to attend Spring Seminar training sessions. Logan Lake Fire Rescue, the Logan Lake Firefighters Association, the District of Logan Lake, the Volunteer Firefighters Association of British Columbia, and session instructors and supporters will not be held liable for failures of turnout gear resulting in injury or death. Logan Lake Fire Rescue will not provide turnout gear to Spring Seminar for participants who show up unequipped.

 
Spouse Event

If your spouse will be travelling with you, we have a great event planned for them on Saturday. The day will begin with a breakfast with mimosas, a guided sign making craft project, group lunch, and an afternoon guided relaxation session. The spouse event will end mid afternoon to prepare for the Saturday evening banquet and after party.

 
Honour Ranch Open House

Wrap up your Logan Lake Spring Seminar experience by attending an optional open house at Honour Ranch on Sunday, May 3rd from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm. Honour Ranch is located 46 kms west of Logan Lake on Kirkland Ranch Road South. https://www.honourhouse.ca/about-honour-ranch/
